CURRENT STUDY ABROAD STATUS DUE TO COVID-19
Students are approved to study abroad to destinations listed at a level 1 or 2 travel advisory from the US Department of State. Countries listed at level 3 or 4 due to COVID-19 require approval through MinnState System. The Study Abroad Office will request approval on behalf of the student/faculty-led group.

Studying abroad after the emergence of COVID-19 brings new requirements for students. For example, many providers that offer study abroad programs have a vaccine requirement for student participants. Additionally, testing requirements before departure and return are constantly changing and vary depending on the location. The Study Abroad Office, studyabroad@winona.edu, can assist with any questions or concerns on navigating the process.
